Author Guidelines
Manuscript Preparation and Submission Standards
All manuscripts submitted to JPGA must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. The journal strictly follows the IMRaD structure to ensure scientific rigor and clarity.
General Formatting
- Language: Indonesian or Academic English (UK or US consistently).
- Word Count: 4,000 – 7,000 words (including references and tables).
- Abstract: Structured (200-250 words) covering Background, Objective, Method, Results, and Conclusion.
- Keywords: 3-5 specific terms for indexing.
1. Introduction
Define the research problem within the context of politics or governance. Clearly state the research gap by reviewing contemporary literature and end with a concise statement of the study's objective and its significance for the field.
2. Methods
Provide sufficient detail for the study to be replicated. Describe the research design, data collection tools, sampling techniques, and analytical framework (e.g., qualitative coding, econometric models, or comparative analysis). Ethics approval must be mentioned if applicable.
3. Results
Present findings logically using text, tables, and figures. Avoid interpreting the data in this section; simply report the evidence. Ensure all tables and figures are high-quality and captioned appropriately.
4. Discussion
Interpret the results in light of the research question and previous studies. Discuss the theoretical and practical implications. How do your findings contribute to the understanding of public administration or political theory? Address any limitations of the study.
5. Conclusion & Policy Recommendations
Summarize the main findings without repeating the Results section. Provide actionable policy recommendations or governance insights. Suggest potential avenues for future research.

JPGA uses the APA 7th Edition style (Author-Date). Authors are highly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
