About the Journal

Journal of Politics, Governance, and Administration (JPGA) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by LaKaspia, the Aceh Institute for Social and Political Studies. LaKaspia, established on December 10, 1999, and restructured on October 4, 2022 (Registration No. AHU-0010506.AH.01.07.TAHUN 2022), is dedicated to advancing scholarly research in the fields of political science, governance, public policy, and public administration. As a prominent research institution, LaKaspia has long been committed to promoting interdisciplinary approaches to the study of political institutions, governance mechanisms, and administrative practices at both local and global levels.

The journal provides a platform for scholarly dialogue and critical analysis of issues related to political systems, public governance, and administrative practices. It encourages the submission of articles addressing the following key areas:

  • Politics: Political theory and philosophy, comparative politics, analysis of political institutions (executive, legislative, judiciary), electoral systems and behavior, democratization processes, party systems and political parties, public opinion, identity politics, political communication, international politics, geopolitics, political ideologies, social movements, and the influence of culture and religion on politics.
  • Governance: Models of governance, public policy design and analysis, implementation and evaluation, regulatory governance, e-governance and digital governance, good governance principles, decentralization and local governance, transparency and anti-corruption initiatives, accountability frameworks, participatory governance and citizen engagement, policy innovation, intergovernmental relations, collaborative governance, institutional reform, and the impact of globalization on governance systems.
  • Administration: Theories and practices of public administration, bureaucratic structures and reform, administrative innovation, leadership in public organizations, public sector management, performance measurement and evaluation, service delivery improvement, human resource management in government, budgeting and financial management, ethics and integrity in administration, public procurement, risk management, crisis and disaster management, and comparative studies of administrative systems.

JPGA encourages submissions that address contemporary challenges in democratic governance, administrative innovation, political accountability, citizen participation, and the evolving landscape of public administration.
