The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Universitas Jabal Ghafur in 2026 was implemented to assist communities affected by flooding in Pidie Jaya and Pidie Regencies. The program lasted four days, from February 3 to 6, 2026, focusing on collective action through environmental cleaning, restoration of public facilities, and rehabilitation of religious infrastructure. The floods caused severe damage, mud deposits, and disruption of social and religious activities. Through collaboration among students, local communities, village officials, and military personnel, the KKN activities successfully supported environmental recovery, strengthened community solidarity, and enhanced social awareness. This article documents the process, outcomes, and benefits of the program as both a learning experience for students and a tangible contribution to society. The results highlight that active community participation was the key factor in accelerating post-disaster recovery. Moreover, the program provided valuable experiences for students in applying knowledge, fostering social sensitivity, and developing cooperative skills within the community.

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in utilizing digital marketing as a product marketing strategy in Alue Lim Village, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province. The implementation methods included socialization, training, hands-on practice, and continuous mentoring on the use of social media, promotional content creation with Canva, and marketplace utilization. Participants received training on copywriting, promotional captions, hashtag optimization, content scheduling, short promotional videos, digital posters, Stories, and Reels. The results demonstrated significant improvements in digital literacy, digital marketing management skills, and participants' ability to promote products more effectively. Furthermore, marketing reach expanded, communication with customers became faster, and opportunities to increase sales grew substantially. The program also strengthened the confidence of MSME owners, encouraged collaboration among local entrepreneurs, and increased youth participation in promoting village products

This community service activity took the form of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) organized by the Aceh Institute for Peace Studies, Advocacy, and Strategy (LAKASPIA) at The Pade Hotel, Banda Aceh. The primary objective was to strengthen the commitment of civil society actors in maintaining sustainable peace following the Helsinki MoU. Through cross-sectoral discussions involving academics, activists, community leaders, and government representatives, the FGD explored reflections on the achievements and challenges of peacebuilding in Aceh, including issues of ex-combatant transformation, social justice, and public policy reform. The results of the activity revealed an urgent need to reinforce transitional justice, civil society participation, and inclusive governance. This initiative underscored the importance of peace education and social consolidation as key instruments in sustaining post-conflict stability

This community service activity aims to enhance students’ understanding of civil protection and human rights, particularly regarding violence perpetrated by the state, non-state entities, and communities. The training was conducted at the Nurdin Abdurrahman Hall, Sigli, on February 28, 2024, using interactive lectures, group discussions, and case studies. The results show that participants improved their comprehension of structural violence, the role of national and international law, and advocacy strategies for victims. Students also developed a stronger awareness of their role as social change agents in fostering a peaceful and non-violent culture. This activity represents a concrete effort to strengthen legal literacy and human values within higher education.

Flood disasters in Bireuen Regency have caused significant disruptions to social life and the fulfillment of basic needs among affected communities. This community service article aims to describe the implementation of a collaborative humanitarian response through the distribution of aid and psychosocial support for flood victims. The program employed a participatory action approach conducted through four stages: needs assessment, aid collection and distribution, field assistance, and monitoring and reflection. The activities were carried out in several flood-affected villages in collaboration with village authorities, volunteers, and social partners. The assistance provided included basic necessities, hygiene supplies, and school equipment for children. The results indicate that a coordinated, needs-based aid distribution program contributed to meeting the basic needs of flood victims and strengthening social solidarity and psychosocial support within affected communities. This article highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration in community service activities during disaster situations as part of efforts to enhance community social resilience.

Abstrak

Bencana banjir yang melanda Kabupaten Bireuen menyebabkan gangguan serius terhadap kehidupan sosial dan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar masyarakat terdampak. Artikel pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan respons kemanusiaan berbasis kolaborasi melalui kegiatan distribusi bantuan dan dukungan psikososial bagi korban banjir. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan aksi-partisipatif yang dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu asesmen kebutuhan, penggalangan dan penyaluran bantuan, pendampingan lapangan, serta monitoring dan refleksi kegiatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di beberapa desa terdampak banjir dengan melibatkan pemerintah desa, relawan, dan mitra sosial. Bantuan yang disalurkan meliputi kebutuhan pokok, perlengkapan kebersihan, serta perlengkapan sekolah bagi anak-anak. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan distribusi bantuan yang terkoordinasi dan berbasis kebutuhan nyata masyarakat mampu membantu pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar korban banjir serta memperkuat solidaritas sosial dan dukungan psikososial masyarakat terdampak. Artikel ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi lintas pihak dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat pada situasi bencana sebagai bagian dari upaya memperkuat ketahanan sosial masyarakat.

This community service program aims to strengthen the role of the Aceh Islamic Da’wah Council as a religious institution committed to developing Islamic preaching and community empowerment based on Islamic values. The program was conducted through a two-month student internship organized by the State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh from May to June 2025. The main activities included student involvement in da’wah planning and implementation, religious organizational management, and community-based social activities focusing on enhancing moral, spiritual, and social awareness among the Muslim community. The implementation employed participatory and observational approaches, enabling students to work collaboratively with the Da’wah Council in identifying community needs, designing religious programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. The results indicate that the Aceh Islamic Da’wah Council plays a strategic role in strengthening Muslim solidarity, promoting religious consciousness, and fostering socio-economic independence through humanistic and contextual da’wah approaches. Furthermore, this program provided students with practical learning experiences in understanding the dynamics of Islamic propagation, religious institutional management, and empowerment strategies grounded in Islamic values at the local level

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed educational systems while simultaneously widening the gap between general and religious education, particularly in the domain of value and character formation. This condition highlights the need for an integrated education approach capable of holistically combining academic competence, religious values, and digital utilization. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen policymakers’ understanding of integrated education and formulate initial strategies for its implementation in response to digital-era challenges. The program employed a participatory approach through academic seminars and structured discussions involving academics, graduate students, and regional education stakeholders, conducted in a hybrid format involving 50 participants consisting of 19 offline participants and 31 online participants. The findings indicate an increased participant understanding of the urgency of integrated education as a response to systemic educational disparities, alongside the identification of strategic issues related to regulatory frameworks, human resource readiness, and policy support. The program also generated preliminary recommendations emphasizing the importance of local regulatory support, educator capacity building, and sustained university mentoring. The impact of this engagement is reflected in the emergence of collective awareness among stakeholders regarding integrated education as a relevant and sustainable model for educational development in the digital era.

This article describes the results of a community service program carried out through the student internship activities of the State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh at Dayah Babul Ulum Abu Lueng Ie, Aceh Besar Regency. The program aimed to strengthen religious education and character development of santri (students) based on traditional Islamic values. The implementation used a participatory and collaborative approach, involving students directly in learning processes, the teaching of kitab kuning (classical Islamic texts), and day-to-day religious activities. The outcomes indicate that the educational system at Dayah Babul Ulum effectively integrates intellectual learning with moral formation, resulting in santri who are knowledgeable, ethical, and independent. In addition, this program provided meaningful experiential learning for university students, deepening their understanding of classical Islamic education methods and the socio-spiritual culture within Acehnese dayah institutions. The activity contributed to enhancing students’ pedagogical competence and fostering collaboration between higher education and Islamic boarding schools (dayah).

The Thematic Community Service Program (KPM Tematik) in Paya Kameng Village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, represents the implementation of the university’s Tri Dharma in the field of community engagement. This program aims to enhance public awareness of education, health, and household economics, while strengthening religious and social values within the community. The activities were conducted over 45 days using participatory, educational, and collaborative approaches that actively involved local residents. Programs implemented included Pelita Qur’ani Aneuk Gampong (PelQAG), anti-bullying education, Healthy Kitchen Against Stunting (DASHAT), dish soap production training, and community clean-up initiatives. The outcomes demonstrated increased participation in religious activities, improved health awareness, and growing entrepreneurial motivation among local families. This program highlights the effectiveness of the Thematic KPM as a participatory and collaborative model of community empowerment, fostering sustainable partnerships between universities and local communities.

This community service program was carried out with the aim of strengthening the economy and well-being of orphans in Aceh Besar through an initiative entitled Orphans’ Meeting 2025. The program was designed as a large gathering that brought together orphans, their families, and representatives from Hasene International, while also serving as a form of accountability and transparency from the implementing institution to donors. The implementation method involved direct distribution of assistance in an interactive format, combined with various educational, recreational, and empowerment activities. The activities included communal dining, talent performances by orphans, motivational and character-building sessions, educational games, and skill-based activities such as painting, swimming, archery, and training in household gardening. In addition, the program distributed several types of assistance, including living-cost scholarships through monthly transfers of EUR 29, provision of school bags and educational supplies, distribution of beef and food packages, gifts and hampers, as well as the slaughtering of five cows as part of the Adak & Akika program. The total number of beneficiaries reached 300 individuals, consisting of 100 orphans, 100 siblings, and 100 guardians or caregivers. The results of the program demonstrate that Orphans’ Meeting 2025 not only contributed to strengthening economic support, but also fostered social interaction, reinforced solidarity, and cultivated the spirit and motivation of orphans in facing their future.

The orphan sponsorship program has become one of the significant forms of social intervention in improving the well-being of children who have lost their parents. This article discusses the impact of the Orphan Sponsorship Program implemented by Hasene and Kafalah Indonesia in supporting orphaned children in Aceh. We utilized a collaborative method involving Hasene International, Kafalah Indonesia, the Aceh government, academics (lecturers), and students. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance community empowerment. The success of this activity is demonstrated by its positive impact on education, economic well-being, health, and the mental condition of orphans. Furthermore, the collaboration between Hasene and Kafalah Indonesia has increased the program's effectiveness through a community-based approach. This article recommends strengthening the program's capacity to ensure sustainability and broader impact, thereby contributing to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including eradicating poverty, ending hunger, and providing quality education.

Gampong Mampree, located in Tiro Sub-district, Pidie Regency, holds significant potential in natural and cultural resources. However, the village faces various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, lack of access to education, frequent human-wildlife conflicts, and a low level of economic empowerment among the community. In response to these conditions, the Community Service Program (KKN) was introduced as a tangible contribution by university students to support development in the village. The program aims to provide solutions to these local issues by implementing relevant initiatives, such as capacity-building programs for community groups through creative economy development, health education, technology training, and environmental quality improvement. This KKN agenda strives to empower the community to independently manage their potential, ensuring that in the future, the people of Gampong Mampree can progress alongside technological advancements, maintain a healthy environment, and foster a thriving and healthy community as envisioned by society at large

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to implement the tri dharma of higher education, especially in the field of community service, Syiah Kuala University as one of the universities in Indonesia made various efforts aimed at educating the public in order to increase community preparedness to face the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the steps implemented by lecturers of the Indonesian Language Education Department and lecturers of the Geography Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University, was by utilizing the IMSAKIYAH Ramadhan 1441 H/2020 M media. The service method was carried out by designing the initial concept of imsakiyah, designing imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H, assessing imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H, printing imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H and finally distributing imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H. The results obtained from community service were imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H which contained various important information in order to educate the public regarding efforts to mitigate the COVID-19 disaster, namely 1) Information about clinical symptoms of COVID-19; 2) Disaster mitigation methods from a health approach; 3) Disaster mitigation methods from a social approach; 4) Disaster mitigation methods from an Islamic religious approach that can be carried out during the month of Ramadan. Then, IMSAKIYAH Ramadhan 1441 H/2020 M was distributed to the community at the community service location, precisely in Blangkureng Village, Baitussalam District, Aceh Besar Regency. The research team believes that with the presence of imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H, the community can see it twice a day, namely when it is about to enter the imsak time and when it is about to enter the time to break the fast, then in one month it is predicted that the community will see imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H sixty times, so that it can be ensured that all information in imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H can be remembered well by the community, so that it is hoped that the presence of imsakiyah Ramadhan 1441 H can increase community knowledge and ultimately be able to increase community disaster preparedness related to COVID 19 disaster mitigation, so that the community is not attacked by the virus

The objective of the social service activity is to identify the social, cultural, and economic characteristics of the community in the Aceh Jaya region, understand the role and significance of the Study of Religions in the local context, and establish collaborations with relevant entities such as government agencies, non-governmental organizations, or other stakeholders that can support the social service program. The implementation of this social service program involves the use of survey and interview methods, organizational social analysis, participatory observation, and evaluation. The achieved outcomes of this activity include, firstly, a significant increase in community participation in the social service program. Secondly, there is a reinforcement of the role and effectiveness of the Study of Religions student organization in bridging social service activities with religious values and community needs. Lastly, there is an enhancement in community awareness regarding the importance of participation in social activities for collective well-being. The benefits derived from this initiative are twofold. On one hand, the community in Aceh Jaya is able to actively engage in social service activities. On the other hand, there is an improvement in the well-being and solidarity of the Aceh Jaya community through sustainable social initiatives.

Tujuan kegiatan bakti sosial adalah untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi masyarakat di wilayah Aceh Jaya, memahami peran dan signifikansi Studi Agama-Agama dalam konteks lokal serta membangun kerjasama dengan pihak-pihak terkait, seperti lembaga pemerintah, lembaga swadaya masyarakat, atau pihak-pihak lain yang dapat mendukung program bakti sosial. Dalam program bakti sosial ini menggunakan metode pelaksanaan kegiatan survei dan wawancara, analisis sosial organisasi, observasi partisipatif dan evaluasi. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah pertama, peningkatan signifikan dalam partisipasi masyarakat dalam program bakti sosial, kedua, penguatan peran dan efektivitas HMP Studi Agama-Agama dalam menghubungkan kegiatan bakti sosial dengan nilai-nilai agama dan kebutuhan masyarakat, dan ketiga, meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial untuk kesejahteraan bersama. Manfaat yang didapatkan masyarakat Aceh Jaya dapat lebih aktif berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan bakti sosial serta peningkatan kesejahteraan dan kebersamaan masyarakat Aceh Jaya melalui kegiatan sosial yang berkelanjut.

The community service program at Yakesma Aceh aims to provide educational support to enhance the academic skills of children. This program includes teaching core subjects, developing learning skills, understanding concepts, and imparting values of social care and responsibility through participation in charitable activities and social projects. The method of implementation involves individual mentoring and guidance for each child, aimed at supporting their academic and personal development. The results of this activity show significant improvement in the academic achievements of the children at Yakesma. Additionally, the program has successfully instilled positive values for character building in daily life, preparing them to be meaningful contributors to society.

Abstrak

Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pada Yakesma Aceh bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan edukatif guna meningkatkan keterampilan akademis anak-anak. Program ini mencakup pembelajaran mata pelajaran inti, pengembangan keterampilan belajar, pemahaman konsep, serta pengajaran nilai-nilai kepedulian sosial dan tanggung jawab terhadap masyarakat melalui partisipasi dalam kegiatan amal dan proyek sosial. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah mentoring dan pembimbingan individual untuk setiap anak, yang bertujuan mendukung perkembangan akademis dan pribadi mereka. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pencapaian akademis anak-anak Yakesma. Selain itu, pelajaran ini juga berhasil menerapkan nilai-nilai positif dalam pembentukan karakter yang baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta mempersiapkan mereka untuk menjadi kontributor yang berarti dalam masyarakat.

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan minat mahasiswa baru terhadap Program Studi Agama di Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Pendekatan yang diambil adalah pemahaman mendalam terhadap program studi agama, dengan fokus pada faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat mahasiswa baru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana meningkatkan minat mahasiswa baru dalam memilih Program Studi Agama di UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh

The objective of this community service project is to enhance the understanding of moderate religious practices among the community, while also serving as a training platform for students to increase social awareness and build cooperation. This activity is conducted through religious counselling based on the principles of religious moderation, which includes stages such as assessment, problem identification, discussion, intervention, and problem resolution, as well as evaluation and collaboration. The activities involve multi-ethnic communal cooperation and the strengthening of religious values through study groups. The outcome of this service is an improved understanding of religious moderation among both students and the community, particularly within the Gampong Pusong Lama community in Lhokseumawe, encouraging students to be more caring and to contribute to activities beneficial to the community.

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman moderat terhadap agama di kalangan masyarakat, sekaligus sebagai sarana pelatihan bagi mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kepedulian sosial dan membangun kerjasama. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui penyuluhan agama berbasis moderasi beragama yang meliputi tahapan assesment, identifikasi masalah, pembahasan, intervensi, dan penyelesaian masalah, serta evaluasi dan kerja sama. Aktivitas yang dilakukan melibatkan gotong royong multi etnis dan penguatan nilai-nilai keagamaan melalui pengajian. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa dan masyarakat tentang moderasi beragama, terutama pada masyarakat gampong Pusong Lama, kota Lhokseumawe, serta mendorong mahasiswa untuk lebih peduli dan berkontribusi pada kegiatan-kegiatan yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

The goal of social service is to improve access to education for all layers of society, to preserve and strengthen the culture and local identity of the Bener Meriah community through the sustainability of traditions and cultural values, and to enhance active participation of the community in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of welfare programs. The methods employed in social service include participatory observation, environmental observation, participatory mapping, and evaluation. The aim is to raise awareness within the community about the importance of preserving local culture and traditional values. The service also involves presenting recommendations for program improvements based on the analysis results, offering insights into aspects that need to be continued or enhanced. The benefits include making the program more relevant, sustainable, and delivering a greater positive impact on community welfare. Additionally, it helps gauge the extent to which the welfare program aligns with the needs and aspirations of the local community in Bener Meriah District.

Tujuan bakti sosial adalah untuk peningkatan akses pendidikan untuk semua lapisan masyarakat, mempertahankan dan memperkuat budaya serta identitas lokal masyarakat Bener Meriah melalui keberlanjutan tradisi dan nilai-nilai budaya dan peningkatan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi program kesejahteraan. Metode yang digunakan dalam bakti sosial ialah observasi partisipatif, pengamatan lingkungan, pemetaan partisipatif dan evaluasi. meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya melestarikan budaya lokal dan nilai-nilai tradisional serta menyajikan rekomendasi untuk perbaikan program berdasarkan hasil analisis, dan memberikan wawasan mengenai aspek-aspek yang perlu diteruskan atau ditingkatkan. Manfaatnya menjadikan program tersebut lebih relevan, berkelanjutan, dan memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar pada kesejahteraan masyarakat. membantu mengukur sejauh mana program kesejahteraan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan aspirasi masyarakat lokal di Kabupaten Bener Meriah.
